Development and co-authoring of guide on the development of small brownfield sites.
The guide was published in 2018 and is aimed at developers and their advisers. Jon Smithson, Managing Director of GPCL co-authored the report, which focusses on due diligence, risk management and understanding, planning, funding, ground investigation, construction and the management of dormant brownfield sites.
- Development of document structure, authoring of geotechnical and geo-environmental content, proof reading of document, attendance at steering group meetings. Roadshow presentations to regional groups of the Housebuilders Federation.
- Developed accessible content to enable an understanding of technical issues to non-technical readers. Document developed to integrate approaches for ground engineering, planning, funding and development.
