We have had the privilege of hosting T-Level student Markas on the team over the past 40 weeks. Markas has been a valued member of the team and will be thoroughly missed! We wish him all the best for his studies and beyond! Have a read about Markas’ experience working at GPCL in his own words:
“My name is Markas Valunas and I have recently completed my T-Level work experience at Ground Projects. I am an aspiring Software Engineer and will be attending Manchester Metropolitan University in 2024, hoping to further increase my knowledge in programming, web development and databases.
During my time at Ground Projects, I have had an amazing experience and have managed to get a taste of what the real work environment inside of an office would be like. The staff at Ground Projects have been amazing and have welcomed me to the company and couldn’t have done a better job with helping me settle in.
I have completed many tasks at Ground Projects, some of these include front-end web development using WordPress to develop the companies website, Excel spreadsheets regarding IT systems, carrying out research tasks and enhancing my programming skills using React.JS.
Through working at Ground Projects, I have improved my skills in problem solving, programming and research which are extremely important skills not only in tech-related jobs but also in any working environment, which is why I found my time at Ground Projects so valuable!
Overall I wouldn’t change anything about my experience at Ground Projects and I would like to thank Jon for allowing me to complete my work experience at the company, Larissa who managed the tasks I had to complete for the company and also updated my tasks once I had completed the previous tasks and a huge thank you to everyone at Ground Projects for the outstanding experience they have given me.”
